Our commitment to health and safety

We strive to provide adequate control of health and safety risks from work related activities. As a matter of course when on clients premises, we familiarise ourselves with clients own health and safety arrangements.

We conduct Risk Assessment annually. Findings are acted upon and policy and procedures reviewed and updated as necessary. Here’s a summary of general policy:

  • provide and maintain safe plant and equipment, paying particular attention to minimise trip hazards and security of  overhead storage
  • ensure safe handling and use of hazardous substances
  • take steps to ensure competence when undertaking work related tasks, and be adequately trained for them
  • prevent accidents and work-related ill health, adopting  appropriate protective or preventative measures designed to  minimise risk.
  • operate working practices that pay due care and attention to safety and appropriate security considerations, both in respect of our premises and client or supplier visits.
  • all accidents and cases of work related ill health are recorded in an Accident Book
  • we work with contractors and suppliers that can demonstrate their commitment to health and safety
  • we maintain appropriate insurance and conform to legislative requirements, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
